Real Estate Institute of Tasmania members donate to fire appeals

The Real Estate Institute of Tasmania is very proud to announce that through the generosity of our members, we have raised fifteen thousand, one hundred dollars ($15,100.00) to be donated to those that have been tragically affected by the recent fires.

The State Executive Board Members agreed that the donations raised would be donated to three organisations.

SEAFM

$5,000.00 was today donated to the SeaFM Radio Marathon Appeal. REIT CEO, Mark Berry presented this cheque this morning to the amazement and delight of the SeaFM staff.

ROTARY CLUB of HOWRAH

On Thursday the 24th of January 2013, another $5,100.00 will be donated to the Rotary Club of Howrah. Rotary are currently assisting many smaller groups on the Tasman Peninsula and ultimately helping to get the local community back on its feet.

BICHENO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION

$5,000.00 will also go to the Bicheno Community Development Association. It is intended this donation will be delivered early next week.

The REIT State Executive Members thought it very important to support the smaller organisations as sometimes their efforts fly under the radar. We certainly understand that these groups are not looking for awards or adulations, however we would like to acknowledge the great work they are doing for those affected by these terrible fires.
