Diploma of Property (Agency Management)

Overview

The Diploma of Property (Agency Management) CPP51122 qualification reflects the role of real estate principles who apply knowledge of property agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards and consumer preferences to establish and control real estate functions.

Learning Pathways

Successful completion of the qualification will allow learners to:

  • Apply for a Real Estate Agent licence with the industry regulator
  • Apply for a Property Manager licence with the industry regulator
  • Perform the function of a real estate agency licensee in charge

Entry Conditions

There are no educational pre-requisites required to complete the qualification, however you will be required to meet the following conditions to complete the training:

  • Access to a Personal Computer (PC), internet and a printer to print resources
  • An intermediate level of computer skills and knowledge
  • Be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident*
  • * Where a student holds a Visa that permits study, the student must have the capacity to apply for a Unique Student Identifier number (USI) in order to participate in the training
  • Have ASCF 3/4level of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) (which will be assessed during the enrolment process)
  • Be at least 16 years of age at time of enrolment
  • Provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) number (apply online: https://www.usi.gov.au)

Note that students wishing to apply for an exemption from providing a USI number can apply here: https://www.usi.gov.au/exemptions. You will need to provide the reasons you are applying for an exemption and accept the listed consequences of not having a USI. Please email a copy of your exemption letter to james.jackson@reit.com.au before proceeding with your Diploma enrolment. 

REIT conducts all training and assessment in plain English, via an online platform. Learners are required to participate in training and complete all assessments in plain English.

The Property Agents Board also has requirements for eligibility of licensing.

Details

This qualification is to be delivered over a twelve to twenty-four month period via Zoom learning,  eLearning or Blended learning (combination of Zoom and eLearning). Total hours of self-directed learning may vary relative to the units selected by the learner, mode of delivery and prior knowledge of the learner. Any combination will equate to approximately 1200 - 2400 hours.

Price

The qualification fee for the CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management) qualification is $5000. A payment plan is provided to ease the burden of the qualification cost. The payment plan is $1000 upon enrolment, then $500 per month until the full fee has been paid.

Packaging Rules

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:

  • 12 units of competency
  • 7 core units
  • 5 elective units

The elective units must ensure the integrity of the AQF qualification and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome and be chosen as follows:

A minimum of three electives units must be chosen from the elective pool

Up to two elective units may be chosen from another current Diploma or Advanced Diploma Training Package, provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
