Tasmanian Acts and Regulations training relating to the conduct of Property Agents

The purpose of this Unit is to enable you to develop an understanding of the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2016 (“the Act”) Property Agents and Land Transactions Regulations 2017 (“the Regulations”) and Code of Conduct and how this legislation effects real estate transactions.

Despite the competencies developed during this unit, a person working in this industry is not permitted, under the provisions of the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2016, to provide a client or customer with information about property unless the person is appropriately licensed.

Specific Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this Unit, you will be able to:

  • Understand how to look up sections of the Act, a Regulation or Rule in the Code of Conduct.
  • Identify how this legislation applies to real estate and action practice.
  • Identify how this legislation applies to individuals within the property industry.
  • Understand how this legislation applies in the broader community.

 

These notes must be read in conjunction with the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2016, the Property Agents and Land Transactions Regulations 2017 and the Code of Conduct.

It can be so frustrating when a member of your team underperforms. You can see the potential below the surface but you seem unable to help them realise it. This course looks at effective ways to coach your employees and increase their productivity as well helping them realise their true potential.  Setting goals and building relationships sits at the core of effective coaching.  How well you coach relates directly to how well you are able to foster a great working relationship with your employees.

This course will guide you through the coaching process.  Be prepared however, to change a few things about yourself in order to be successful. 

We have 12 objectives that will allow us to achieve the overall goal of becoming better coaches.

  • Identify and set appropriate goals using the SMART method of setting goals.
  • Understand how to identify the current state or reality of your employee’s situation.

  • Finalise a plan or wrap it up motivating your employee to work within them.
  • Identify the benefits of fostering trust with your employee.
  • Identify the steps in giving effective feedback.
  • Identify and overcome obstacles that hinder the growth and development of your employee.
  • Identify the end and how to transition your employee to other growth opportunities.
  • How to use both mentoring and coaching to enable long-term development through a positive relationship with your employee.

The Responsible R's of Property Management

This course is made up of 5 parts. Once you have completed reading a section and passed the multiple choice test, you will then be able to move onto the next part. Once you have completed all 5 parts of the course, you will receive your completion certificate.

Lodging a claim in the Civil Court requires knowledge of the law and the processes to be undertaken

Property Representatives Course - Zoom Training

To be a Property Representative in Tasmania requires registration with the Property Agents Board. In order to obtain your licence to work in real estate you are required to pass an exam with the Property Agents Board.  The Property Representatives Course provides the underpinning knowledge to sit this exam.

The Property Representatives Course is the first step to achieving that goal.

The Property Representative Zoom Training Course is an interactive training session. Get all the training you require to begin your journey in the industry from our experienced REIT trainers, all in the comfort without leaving your desk.  

Once enrolled learners will be granted access to the course content 5 days prior to the scheduled course. It is strongly recommended learners’ login to their account, download the resources for each unit and watch the pre-recorded video presentations for each cluster prior to the Zoom course.
